Created from one of Michael Joseph’s original negatives from his celebrated Pool Ladies series, this unique cyanotype transforms a familiar swimming pool scene into something unexpectedly ethereal.

The deep Prussian blues dissolve the water into an abstract landscape of light and shadow. Two floating figures emerge almost like memories rather than photographs, their peaceful expressions suspended between dream and reality. The cyanotype process allows sunlight, chemistry and chance to reinterpret the original negative, producing textures and tonal variations that can never be repeated.

Each print is entirely unique—a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Michael Joseph’s original photograph and Justine Joseph’s hand-printing process.
