This close-up interpretation of Swimming Opposite shows the two swimmers almost dissolving into the water, in layers of Prussian blue, turquoise and translucent tones, creating a soft, dreamlike atmosphere.

Made from an original Michael Joseph negative, the cyanotype retains the natural variations and irregularities of the process, making it a truly unique piece.

The work is presented in a beautiful richly carved antique frame, whose time-worn silver patina complements the deep blue tones of the cyanotype and forms an integral part of the piece.
